Potatoes – List of Various Equipements for Growing Potatoes

Potatoes

Potatoes are underground tubers that grow on the roots of the potato plant, Solanum tuberosum.

This plant is from the nightshade family and is related to tomatoes and tobacco. Originally from South America, the potato was brought to Europe in the 16th century and is now grown in various forms all over the world.

They are usually eaten boiled, baked, or fried and are often served as a side dish or appetizer. Common foods made with potatoes and food products include french fries, potato chips, and potato flour.

Planting potatoes

Plant potatoes in a sunny location with at least 6 hours of direct sunlight each day. Tubers should grow in a sweet, loose, well-drained soil; Hard or compact soil causes irregular tubers. Ideally, the soil is slightly acidic (pH 5.8 to 6.5) and the soil temperature is at least 45º to 55ºF (7° to 13°C). Before planting (preferably in the fall), mix compost or organic matter into the soil. (Learn more about compost, soil amendment, and preparing soil for planting.)

What the time of planting potatoes

Potatoes can be planted as soon as the soil can be worked. For most gardeners, this is about 2 weeks after the spring frost. But be aware that soil that is too wet can damage the first crop because the potato seeds will rot. Pay attention to the bottom of the calendar to determine when to plant. The soil should not be so wet that it is sticky and difficult to work with. Let it dry a little first. If you have a late, rainy season, you can plant later, such as late April (depending on the situation) or even June, especially in containers.

In colder regions, some gardeners will plant their first crop of “early” potatoes in early to mid-April, 6-8 weeks before the average last frost date. These types can withstand frost.

In summer in the region potatoes can be grown as a winter crop in the growing season from September to February. In places with mild winters, you can plant crops in September. For example, in central Florida, farmers plant potatoes in January, and in Georgia, they plant in February.

Many farms use the following resources when growing potatoes:

crop sprayer – used to protect crops from disease.
Thorns to start crops. A rototiller/motor tiller is used to clean the soil before planting.

Potato planter to place the seed in the planter/row or bed at the correct depth and spacing

A potato harvester. It is used to dig potatoes from the field and separate the soil from the potatoes – leaving only clean potatoes.

One or more trailers – which transport potatoes in crates or in bulk. Many farm tractors to do these jobs.

Crop Sprayer

In rural areas, sprinklers are important agricultural tools that are important for preventing and controlling pests and diseases. The main components of the sprayer are compressed air devices, thin tubes, nozzles, etc.

It is a manual device that uses air suction to turn medicine or other liquids into a mist and spray them well on other objects. According to the sprayer’s irrigation system, sprinklers can be divided into four types

The plough

Plow also spelled plough the most important agricultural tool since the beginning of recorded history, used to turn and break the soil, bury crops and to help control weeds.

What happens in this tree is a prehistoric musical tree. It is likely that the first tools used to dig trees had handles for pulling or pushing. In Roman times, oxen were used to pull light, a wheelless plant with an iron blade (blade);

These tools can break the surface of the Mediterranean region but they cannot handle the heavy soil of northwestern Europe. The wheeled cornfield, first pulled by oxen and later by horses, led to the expansion of European agriculture northward. The addition in the 18th century of the moldboard, which replaced the edge of the furrow cut by the ploughshare, was an important step forward. In the middle of the 19th century,

the black grasslands of the American Midwest challenged the existing cultivation of grass, and the American engineer John Deere invented shares and steel boards. A three-wheeled harvester followed, and when a gasoline engine was introduced, the tractor pulled.

Rotavator

A rotavator, also known as a rotavator, is a tractor-driven rotary equipment that uses a blade system to plow the soil by cutting, loosening, mixing and leveling the soil. The Rotavator is a useful and effective tool to replace garden workers, disk drives and runners.

A rotavator is a large agricultural tool that is used to break, crush and aerate the soil before planting seeds and bulbs in the garden.

Rotary tillers have a rotating mechanism that cuts the soil. This increases water, improves the soil and prepares it for growing vegetables and crops.

Potato Planter

This potato plant, which was born from a long collaboration between the industry and the market, is a multi-purpose machine that meets the needs of modern agriculture. This machine can plant potato, pachyrhizus and some tuber planters etc. It can be used for different areas, climates and soils.

The potato planter is a very efficient planter. It can dig and fertilize, complete the process of sowing, planting, planting and mulching plastic membrane.

Our potato planter can meet different garden requirements, environment, topography, climate, soil and agricultural requirements. We apply advanced technology to the potato operator and test their performance repeatedly, they are the most improved version. This machine has the characteristics of compact structure, good movement, flexibility, easy maintenance.
